Cartilage piercing - piercer recommendations?

Its been a few years since I’ve had any piercings done, but I’ m tempted to get another cartilage one (a daith, specifically).

Last time I had mine done it was at Justin’s studio / with Justin at Redpath, but since then I believe he’s shut down, and Freestyle no longer does piercings.

I know Redpath is still operational, and there’s also now the “off ya tree” shop near the Carousel, which supposedly offers $15 piercings (? + cost of jewlery, so probably the same price as Redpath).

Keen to hear people’s views on Redpath piercings, or get recommendations for where to go.

Cheers

For those who were wondering, this is what “Off ya tree” says about their piercing studios:

I would avoid any that only charge $15 – but that’s possibly a lobe-only deal.

Well from what I understood when I asked a few months ago, its “$15” for the piercing, but then you have to pay for the jewelry on top of that. So I’m guessing that they probably over-price the jewelry and you pay the same amt in the end, but believe the piercing is “cheaper” than the others.

hoping others have some more insight into the quality of the piercer’s skill at this place though, otherwise I might go to Redpath again and hope its still a good piercer.

I had a couple done at Redpaths a few years ago, and I wasn’t overly impressed with their hygiene or their communication. I let one grow out because it was positioned badly.
Matt at Freestyle was good.
My latest (forward helix) was done by the guy at UC – I believe he also does hair and waxing.
He was really good.

I would avoid any that only charge $15 – but that’s possibly a lobe-only deal.
