What’s better than a new Club Lime? It’s combining an impressive new fitness centre by the ACT-headquartered national brand in the same space as a hiit republic – doubling the reasons to check out the new facility.

Despite opening just five weeks ago, a quick walk through will show why Club Lime is growing so quickly and Erindale is already a popular space.

Clean, open, light, airy and inviting, you’ll find banks of state-of-the-art cardio equipment including seated and recumbent bikes, treadmills and stair climbers so you’ll never be waiting for a machine. Rowing and ski machines are guaranteed to raise your pulse and a sweat.

State-of-the-art cardio machines with access to YouTube and Netflix.

If you prefer to hit the weights, you won’t be queuing for a squat rack (there are six!). You will also find the type of equipment that was once only the domain of specialist gyms but is now standard across Club Limes, showing just how particular Viva Leisure – which owns Club Lime and hiit republic – is about fitting out their gyms.

Specialist equipment

Specialist equipment like the glute-ham raise (foreground) is a feature of Club Lime.

Equipment like the reverse hyper, glute-ham raise and the fabled hip thruster (which until recently could only be performed awkwardly with a barbell) puts Club Lime gyms in a league of their own. This sits comfortably alongside the traditional gym equipment we all know, making Club Lime the perfect choice for novice and expert trainers alike.

And this is before you get to hiit republic.

hiit Republic in action

hiit Republic combines weights and cardio under the watchful eye of a skilled trainer.

Located right next to Club Lime, hiit republic is a fast and furious 45-minute workout that combines weights and cardio. No two workouts are the same, so if you’ve found it hard to stay motivated or prefer an endorphin rush, high-intensity interval training – or HIIT – is for you.

As Erindale manager Becky Surman explains: “The HIIT workout design has lots of benefits, especially the way we do it at hiit republic. We use a mixture of cardio and weight-based movements so that means not only are you getting fitter because of the cardio component but you’re also getting stronger in movement patterns because of the weights.”

hiit republic’s brought real competition to the HIIT market, with memberships starting at just at $29.90 a week. Those who want it all can sign up for a hiit republic and Club Lime membership at $39.90 per week.
