Coffs Harbour direct flights back in January

Canberrans will again be able to fly direct to the holiday destination of Coffs Harbour on the NSW Mid North Coast in the New Year.

Canberra-based Link Airways and Canberra Airport have announced direct flights between Canberra and Coffs Harbour will recommence on 23 January 2025.

Link Airways will offer twice-weekly direct flights – Thursday and Sunday – until the end of April, with an attractive launch fare of $309 one-way.

Initially launched in September 2022 as a seasonal service, the route proved highly popular with travellers, with service extended until at least the end of January 2023, covering the entire school holiday period.

Canberra Airport’s Head of Aviation, Michael Thomson, welcomed the return of the service to Coffs Harbour.

“We’re excited to reconnect travellers with Coffs Harbour, providing an easy gateway for Canberrans to explore this hidden gem on the Mid North Coast,” he said.

“With its pristine beaches, lush rainforests, and stunning mountain escarpments, Coffs Harbour offers a nature lover’s paradise.

“This direct service also brings opportunities for Mid North Coast locals to experience Canberra and the region’s world-class events, rich culture, and exceptional restaurants and wineries.”

Manager of network strategy at Link Airways Jeff Boyd said the previous success of this route gave us confidence that travellers would once again embrace the convenience of these direct flights,” he said.

“This announcement strengthens connectivity between the ACT and the Coffs Coast, benefiting business and leisure travellers alike.”

The Coffs Harbour service will take just over 90 minutes on the 34-seat Saab 340B Plus aircraft, which has full in-flight cabin service.

Tourism bodies VisitCanberra and VisitNSW will promote the flights from both destinations in partnership with Canberra and Coffs Harbour airports.
