In a slightly bizarre step Crime Stoppers have launched a social media push, somewhat desperately promising prizes to everyone willing to “Like” them on Facebook.
This despite their website not having been updated with crime news since May 29.
They’ve got a page explaining the elaborate promotion.
Bear in mind Crime Stoppers are a private organisation paid good money by police to basically operate an answering machine.
