Door fitter

I need to replace an internal door that is starting to warp a little. Not sure why it is warping as it is an internal door well away from moisture/steam sources.

Is anyone who has had doors replaced recently able to recommend someone that might be willing to fit just a single door?

I would go get a pre-drilled door and fit it myself but alas the ones I’ve seen at the local hardware shop the hinge and hole locations are different and I don’t have a router or the confidence to ‘cut out’ the hinge mounts myself.

Can anyone help me? I live southside. A few years ago I hired a contractor to install new internal solid wood doors in our house, three of which are cavity sliders. The point was noise reduction. However, the installation was poor, there was no noise reduction and the cavity sliders are c$%p (they spring open about 3 inches and will not close properly). I tried to contact the company and of course they disappeared. I think I may need new cavity sliders – not sure and not sure what to do about the solid wood doors that do not seal properly and do not reduce noise in the house.

Anyone know a good -quality -door installer that can help? The cavity sliders are the most important for now.

Don’t worry about the pre-drilled doors. Knocking out the hinge mounts is easy: mark out where the hinge is to go, cut around the outline with a boxcutter to the depth you need, then use a chisel and hammer to get the wood out. If you don’t want to take that on, buy hirline hinges – these don’t need the cutouts as, when the door is shut, the part attached to the door fits into a gap on the part attached to the frame.

Thanks for the advice, but it isn’t the door frame.

The warping is on the flat surface of the door and yeah reckon the heat has caused it especially as the house is cool and the garage, which is where the door leads can be bloody hot. So when you close it the mid part of the flat surface is coming in contact with the door jamb. As the door is a textured finish it isn’t possible to sand back.
