Electrician HELP!

By laureah21 - 17 October 2011 12

Desperately looking for an electrician to come and fix a circuit that has gone in the kitchen side of our house.

Was recomended Complete electrical services, but when politely asking the receptionist if they  could provide someone for this afternoon.  All she said was NO.  I paused, waiting for the rest of the sentance  but it was just NO, silence. Ahh ok, see you later then.

The rudness of some customer facing people these days, I often feel like they are doing me a favour….you forget I am paying you to help me, anyway that is a different topic all together.

Can anyone please recommend an electrician that does emergency call outs?

What’s Your opinion?

Hi Mate,

We have dealt with Greg of Canberra communications for few years now. Greg is one of those guys who offer true customer service which a small business can truly offer. He did some NBN Cabling and a TV wall mounting for us last year. I have got their web site address even bookmarked – http://www.canberracomms.com.au Ph: 6161-1555 .
Give him a try . My 2 cents.

Try Dan from DOC Electrical 0416453872. Nice bloke, came around within a day and didn’t charge the earth. Ive had electrical gremlins for a while now in the house and after trying a number of other electricians, he turned up on time and fixed my problems

I can recommend Andrew from Hard Wired Australia (0407 652 005). He did an awesome job at our house installing under tile heating, LED lights and fixing up our switchboard. He was great to deal with, reasonably priced and always turned up when he said he would.

Reno5, you naughty thread necrophiliac 🙂

If you’re northside can recommend John Maupin Electrical Services – 6242 9283. He’s based in Palmerston. Had a similar thing happen a couple of years ago and he was able to come out the next morning. Pretty much all of the power around the kitchen blew (it was a couple of fuses).

Good luck!

I can recommend John as well. He has been doing all the electrics for my family for years. He won’t rip you off and will do the job properly. He is also a great bloke.

Circuit breakers can trip without looking like they’ve tripped – ie; the circuit opens but the lever stays in the “on” position. Try switching the breaker off and then on again. It would be quite unusual for a circuit to just “go”.

When you say “fix a circuit that has gone”, is it possibly just a blown fuse or tripped circuit-breaker?

Have you tried Tradeworks? http://www.tradeworks.com.au/

The trip switch didn’t go, so i am not sure… just no power. Thanks I will have a look at tradeworks
