Pack your own or purchase a picnic hamper and enjoy fireworks displays and roving entertainment along the shores of Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra’s first major event since lockdown. With entertainment form 6pm-9pm, and synchronised fireworks displays lighting up the Canberra skies at 9pm and midnight, this will be an event for the whole family and is being delivered in a self-managed Covid safe manner.
Fireworks will be launching from three locations across Lake Burley Griffin, giving you the opportunity to take advantage of the variety of lakeside or mountain top vantage points across the city.

What: New Year’s Eve in Canberra
Where: Fireworks displays will be launched from East, West and Central Basins of Lake Burley Griffin.
When: Friday 31 December 2021, entertainment from 6pm- 9pm. Fireworks at 9pm and midnight.
Cost: Free event.
