The Fire Brigade Historical Society of the ACT is holding a Museum Open Day, featuring historic vehicles and fire engines.
The focus of the Society is the preservation of artefacts of historical significance relating to fire-fighting services in the Canberra region over many years.
The Fire Brigade Historic Society of the ACT is located in the historic Forrest Fire Station. The Museum is open to the public most Saturdays 10:00 am till 2:00 pm, and all are most welcome. A donation of a gold coin is always most gratefully received and helps keeps the various projects operating.
We have a number of restored fire appliances currently on show, dating from 1913 through till the mid-1980s.
