Jammalong in Canberra has two free open jam sessions a month, on the first and second Saturday of each month.

On the first Saturday, the jam will be from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Up-Opping Second Hand Clothing Store, Ainslie Church of Christ, 82 Limestone Avenue Ainslie from February to December.

On the second Saturday of the month, the jam will be from 12:00 pm until we have had enough, with an open acoustic jam session for all player levels. For this session, we meet under the pergola in Enid Lyons Park which is located on the lakeside of the Questacon Building in Parkes ACT.

Music styles – we like bluegrass, old-timey, traditional country, folk music, country music, and other music that is easy to learn on the fly. We encourage participants to come with a song they know to share with others so they know at least one song. We learn from each other. Bring a portable chair and your own food and drink as the cafe’s in the area have tended to be closed during the Covid 19 pandemic.

Family and friends welcome.
