Lightbulb Improv explores a twist of fate in The Door, playing in the Courtyard Studio at the Canberra Theatre Centre on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 May.
We’ve all had a ‘What if?’ experience. One that could have dramatically changed your life for the better…or worse. A narrowly-missed speeding car, a lottery ticket with only one number off, an unspoken love. Moments that play on our minds or make us wonder if the grass could have been greener.
In The Door, the performers of Lightbulb Improv explore just that: One life, two fates. A pivotal moment that either unravels the hero’s life, or launches it forward. In a night of unscripted entertainment with no set characters, nothing is predetermined. The only certainty is the door standing centre-stage; a portal to each parallel world.
The Door is guaranteed to be different in every retelling, with new characters and audience choices shaping the unwitting hero’s story. Book your ticket to see where it ends.
Since 2016 Lightbulb has performed in comedy festivals and international festivals and love bringing their improvised magic to Canberra. Lightbulb create shows with a strong sense of play and honesty that keeps audiences coming back.
