UNSW Canberra is establishing a world class research, education and innovation campus in the heart of Canberra City and we would like to invite the community to contribute to the Canberra City campus Master Plan.

The UNSW Canberra City campus will host:

  • postgraduate and international education
  • executive professional education
  • a defence and security innovation precinct
  • student accommodation and residential teaching facilities.

The new campus will be located on the corner of Coranderrk Street and Constitution Avenue and the existing car park site between Constitution Avenue and Parkes Way.

The expansion of UNSW in Canberra will strengthen the City’s reputation as the knowledge and education capital of Australia and will complement the UNSW’s existing ADFA campus, making it a landmark on Canberra’s research and innovation corridor where universities, industry and government can come together to discover and drive global change.

The opportunity for community input to the Master Plan closes on Monday 18 May, however this is the first of many conversations UNSW Canberra will have with the community as we plan and deliver the Canberra City campus.

As a result of the current COVID-19 situation, face-to-face engagement activities scheduled for the UNSW Canberra City campus Master Plan are no longer in the best interest of public safety. However, to provide the Canberra community the opportunity to contribute, the following engagement activities are now available:

Online drop-in kiosk on the UNSW Canberra City website Visit the UNSW Canberra City website during one of the designated times listed below and chat with one of our team members who will be online to take your feedback and questions. Just look for the chat symbol at the bottom-right of the screen:

  • Friday 3 April, 11am – 2pm
  • Sunday 19 April, 10am – 1pm
  • Wednesday 13 May, 2pm – 4pm
Online scrapbook Head to the online scrapbook to have your say and upload an image or document that highlights your thoughts on the UNSW Canberra City campus Master Plan; perhaps a design feature from another place that you think would work on the site, or something about the site that is important to you.
Online community workshops

Two online community workshops will be held via an easy and simple-to-use online video application that you can access from your smart phone, tablet or computer. The dates for these online community workshops are:

  • Saturday 18 April, 9.30am – 11.30am
  • Wednesday 29 April, 5.30pm – 7.30pm

Register your attendance at feedback@canberra.unsw.edu.au

Email or phone us directly

You can email your feedback directly to feedback@canberra.unsw.edu.au or phone the UNSW Canberra team on 0418 647 354. When you call, we will make sure someone is available to record your feedback and help you with any questions you may have.

These are challenging times and we recognise that matters like these are not at the forefront of many people’s minds at the moment. While this is the first of many conversations UNSW Canberra will have as we plan and deliver the Canberra City campus, community feedback at this stage is important.
