A female robber has been filmed allegedly using a handgun to threaten teenage staff at a supermarket in what police describe as a “terrifying” incident.

Police are now seeking information from the public to help them identify the woman.

A woman went into the Friendly Grocer at Swinger Hill, which is in Phillip, at about 8:50 pm on 16 February 2025, an ACT Policing spokesperson said.

She allegedly pulled a light-brown handgun out of her pants and used it to threaten two teenage staff members, demanding money and cigarettes.

She then fled the scene with cash and police believe she left the area in a white Toyota Corolla hatchback.

“While no one was physically injured during this incident, it was terrifying for the staff involved,” the police spokesperson said.

Police have now released CCTV of the incident to help identify the woman.

She is described as Caucasian in appearance, with blonde hair and blue eyes. That night, she wore a tan face mask, a black hoodie, blue denim shorts and white sneakers.
