“I imagined lounging on a veranda overlooking folds of hills striped with vines. I’d be clothed in linen and surrounded by friends. On the table would be tumblers of wine we’d picked in last year’s harvest. Then we arrived at Cockatoo Hill and discovered a dump.”

Ever fantasised about wildly upending your life? The authors on this panel have done just that. Drunk on vineyard dreams, Deirdre Macken and her husband, Roger, bought an unpromising sheep paddock on the outskirts of Yass. Rachael Mogan McIntosh packed her bags and moved to rural France with her three school-age children.

What could possibly go wrong? Absolutely everything. Join these two crazy dreamers as they share their tales of misplaced adventure. A riotously funny hour of fish-out-of-water tales and tender life lessons.
