We had this in over night in relation to yesterday’s story about the prison. We leave it to the reader to make of it what they will.

Subject: Child porn in the prisonMessage Body:
Due to the safety I’m not going to register, however I would like it if someone could comment the following on the “Child porn in the ACT prison” thread:I am the fourth ex-prisoner (as per reports), and I have to say that I am deeply disturbed and angry about the fact that the AMC officers and the media have NOT done their homework regarding the so called laptop that has been view as “central to the alleged plot”.
If these two entities have actually done their homework prior to making allegations and printing lies – they would have discovered that the laptop was never within the jail. The laptop was brand new (still in the box – sealed) and due to concerns from the CO3 & 4’s was left in a secure place at ‘visits reception’. I only received the laptop approximately 30 – 45min prior to departing from the AMC. During that time I was still not allowed to access the laptop, and this can also be confirmed by speaking to the DIMIA officers that picked me up from the AMC.
Therefore the claim that the laptop was used to develop the alleged development to the ‘child porn ring’ is utter garbage, and the only “misgivings of some guards” should be that they are ill informed, does not do their homework, and easily jump to conclusions! The media on the other hand accepts the word of these ‘well informed’ guards without investigating the truth behind it.
I do not appreciate the media printing abhorrent lies without doing their actual jobs – “investigate and report the truth” – OR did the media forget why they are there? If I wanted to read fiction I’d rather get a decent novel.
I have served my sentence and have done everything possible to assist my rehabilitation within the AMC (not that there are many options for a non-alcoholic, non-drug addicted, and/or someone without metal health issues within the AMC).
The claim that I gave the offender on remand a boot drive prior to my release is yet again garbage. I was one (if there was more) of the people that informed the AMC management (Superintendent and the AMC security manager) of the USB drives that was being used in the jail. They will most likely say that I only informed them of this prior to my release, and yes this is correct.
I did not feel that I could trust neither the guards nor AMC management for not informing the other prisoners that I have ‘snitched’. If the media was really interested in a decent story, perhaps they should look into the breaches of confidentiality by the guards regarding prisoner information and “snitching”!
All I can say to the AMC guards are: “take a cement pill, you are in the big house now!” as it was said to me by an uninterested unconcerned CO3 when I had safety concerns.
