UPDATED: 15-year-old missing from Mawson has been found

UPDATE, 6 pm: Ruby Mohammed, the 15-year-old girl missing from southern Canberra, has been found.

“The missing 15-year-old girl we posted about earlier today has been located safe and well,” police said in the afternoon.

12 pm: Police are seeking the public’s help to find a 15-year-old girl who has gone missing.

Ruby Mohammed has not been seen or heard from since 2:30 pm on Monday (10 March), an ACT Policing spokesperson said on Tuesday (11 March).

She was last seen at a bus stop in Mawson.

The police spokesperson described her as being of Middle Eastern background with a tan complexion, about 165 cm tall and with long curly black hair.

She was last seen wearing a navy long-sleeved shirt, navy pants, and white and black Nike shoes.

“Police and Ruby’s family hold concerns for her welfare and are requesting the public’s assistance in locating her,” the police spokesperson said.

“Ruby is known to use public transport and may have travelled through the City area.

“She may also be with another girl of similar age.”
