FASHFEST is done and dusted for another year, with the finale of six shows over three nights going down at the National Convention Centre on Saturday night.

Cameras were flashing, champagne was flowing and donuts were dazzling us with their fancy decorations.

But what of the fashion, you ask? Let’s take a look at some of the highlights of the FASHFEST 2017 finale show…

Charly Thorn kicked off the night with an unapologetically bold resort collection that any of the Sex and the City girls would be proud to wear.

Miss Winks got our pulses racing with a vampy and flirty range of underwear, perfect for all of the Canberra sex kittens out there.

Braddon Tailors delighted as always, with a slick collection of suits throwing back to the 70s and 90s in bold colours, floral prints and luxe velvet fabrics. Possibly my favourite outfit of the night was this bubblegum pink combo which would look perfect on Barbie, Cher Horowitz or Elle Woods.

None shared one of the most wearable collections, with loose tailoring, breezy fabrics and striking yet understated prints.

Zilpah Tart showed a range of demure dresses with beautiful photographic floral prints, which epitomised femininity and were perfect for Spring.

The Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair Foundation was one of the most bold and colourful shows of the night, full of graphic prints and bright hues, with teased afros and twisted top-knots adding more fun to the mix.

Naomi Peris Bridal designed a range of wedding gowns for the adventurous bride, with high cut styles and fluffy fabrics pushing the boundaries of classic wedding attire.

Salvos Stores got creative and upcycled a range of second hand clothing into high-fashion creations. Garments were painted, sewn together or completely re-cut to give them an urban edge.

The most awwwwww-inspiring show was of course Nomiko Kids, with pint sized models strutting, dancing and skipping their way into our hearts forever.

Megan Cannings Designs closed the night off in spectacular style with a collection of darkly romantic gowns, complemented beautifully with teased up-dos, moody eye make up and wine-stained lips.

Were you lucky enough to attend any of the FASHFEST shows last week? What did you think?
