Red Bull Flying Bach is coming to Canberra in September following sell out shows in Sydney and Melbourne in 2013.
Removing boundaries between classical and urban art, Flying Bach fuse the music of 18th Century composer Johann Sabastian Bach with explosive moves thanks to world champion breakdance crew, Flying Steps who formed in 1993.
Red Bull Flying Bach combines the vision of Artistic Director Christoph Hagel, and the Flying Steps. Together they interpret Bach’s genius composition, translating each note into dynamic choreography, bringing the two worlds together to audiences around the world.
As piano, harpsichord and electronic beats are compounded with head spins, power moves, freezes and ballet steps, a storyline that revives and visualises Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier is created, providing art in motion that delivers an unforgettable experience for the audience.
