Germ Woolford’s appeal out on its arse

By johnboy - 20 July 2005 7

Just heard on ABC News that Raiders Captain Simon Woolford’s desperate appeal has been thrown out.

Given they played better without him this weekend than they have in a very long time is this a bad thing?

What’s Your opinion?

Good riddance to the thug for the rest of the season.

May he sign up somewhere else, preferably offshore.

I’ll be honest and say I’m not dissapointed to see the end of Germ for the season. That being the case, the judiciary is making some pretty poor decisions.

Are we seeing yet more Canberra-Bashing, or was it Germ’s record which is to blame? I ask only becasue Shane Webcke has twenty-something caps for queensland, therefore he is a ‘star-player’ from a glamour club (Broncos).

Can you imagine the shit that it would have stirred if Webcke had been given eight weeks with the Broncos at the top of the ladder?

What a dog’s breakfast the NRL judiciary is. Fucking disgraceful. Fair dinkum.

shouldn’t that read
“out on it’s head”…..
tsssss

Look I’m not a footy afficianado, however I heard shane webke on the news saying his tackle was in the wrong because
“i took him above vertical” (paraphrased)

maybe stupidity is the best defence

But Webke doesn’t have Woolford’s previous.

Well the Raiders had a pretty good case I thought.

Shane Webke, picks the guy up between the legs, slams him head first into the ground. No suspension.

Woolford, tackles the guys around the waist, picks him up and drives him into the ground, not head first like Bronco Shane.

The judiciary really needs to get some consistency.
