Good Learner Driver Training

Saw a classic example of good Canberra driver training this afternoon. Learner on Southern Cross Drive near Latham, the L plate looked like what you would see on a driving school car but no signs so assuming it was a professional teacher.

Anyway said learner overtakes me whilst I am doing 60km/h in a 60km/h zone. However just after she got in front I see a white van and the L platter buts the brakes on and slows down to around 50km/h. Pretty normal Canberra driving, so well taught driving school, one thing though maybe you need to teach the student the difference between a camera van and a Ford Transit delivery van.

Learners are really the least of our problems. We have older drivers, with expensive cars driving like lunatics every day down Flemington! If I’m allowed to post the rego of one such fool on my way home today i will. As I always say, ‘where are the police at such times? Maybe tomorrow!

I’m not the best teacher, but getting there and back again rapidly and alive is my forte…
