The ACT Rural Fire Service and ACT Fire & Rescue are assisting the NSW Rural Fire Service in extinguishing a grass fire, north of the ACT border.
A water-bombing helicopter is also assisting.
Residents in Canberra’s northern suburbs may see smoke in the area.

The fire has now been extinguished.
Crews are in the process of mopping up and will continue to patrol the area looking for any hotspots.
