Guitar teachers north side?

By lastresort - 29 January 2013 10

Hello,

Can anyone recommend a guitar teacher north side (Ainslie, Hackett, Watson area)? I’m looking for someone who knows a few different genres.

Appreciate any advice.

Thanks

Hey lastresort,
There is jake lang and they are located on the corner of dacre and hoskins. I used to learn drums there. They teach guitar as well and i am hoping to learn it as well πŸ™‚

If you are still looking for a great guitar teacher, Kurt Roberts is highly recommended:

If you’re still looking, Dene Burton teaches guitar northside. Located in Holt, but can come to you. He also teaches guitar to students at Hawker primary school, and knows different genres.

Barry Steward (spelling?) taught my daughter guitar for a while, through her previous school. I think he can be booked through Bellchambers. He was very patient and encouraging with a young, total beginner. You could see how he is with an older, more experienced player, if that’s what you are.

check out music teachers online. They list a lot of teachers all around canberra including Northside, some of whom may have moved on.

I would give a recommendation but sometimes it’s better to find someone who meets your needs.

Hi there. I teach 1 on 1 to selected students and can come to your home (or mine in Bruce). Pricing is based on your pace and can start at $20 per lesson. I ask you to average 15 minutes prac each day and you’ll be playing really well in a month.

I can also help with instrument selection and have no affiliations to any shops.

Examples, samples and more info on request. Email at terrys.long.lunch@gmail.com.

All the best.

Brendan via Pirana was good with our boy. I’ve also seen this woman advertise on Gumtree at attractive rates:

Music for Everyone is in Ainslie (old Ainslie primary now arts Centre) and they do individual and group tutition. but their classes might be full by now.
I learn the flute there and I’m very happy with them. In the individual lessons they let you choose your own music after you have learnt the basics.

While I don’t know of anyone in particular, there are a couple of ways to find guitar teachers. Better Music at Woden has a list of teachers. They can give you names and phone numbers of teachers in your preferred location. Pirana Music at Mitchell runs music classes, so they may be able to help too.
