UPDATED: 77-year-old missing from Kambah has been found

UPDATE, 5:15 pm: Police announced Mumin Abazobic has been found safe and well.

THURSDAY: Police are asking for the public’s help to find a man who has gone missing from southern Canberra.

ACT Policing said 77-year-old Mumin ‘Michael’ Abazobic has not been seen or heard from since about 10:30 am on Thursday (22 August), when he left his home in Wyselaskie Circuit, Kambah.

He suffers from dementia, does not drive and was on foot when he left home.

Police described him as being of Caucasian appearance with stubbly facial hair. He was wearing a grey hoodie with a fluffy hood, black tracksuit pants and grey sneakers.

“Police and Mumin’s family hold serious concerns for his welfare and are requesting the public’s assistance in locating him,” a police spokesperson said.
