Here's where you can take your photo with Santa this year in Canberra

It’s that time of the year again when kids get to sit on Santa’s lap, take their photos and list everything they want for Christmas. This year, we’ve made a list of where Santa will be to capture your festive photos.

From the north side to the south side, Santa will be coming straight from the North Pole to a shopping centre near you. Here’s what you need to know.

Canberra Centre

When: Daily, at various times, until 24 December
Where: Canberra Centre, Ground Level (outside David Jones)
How much: Photos from $24.95, packages available.

Get the kids ready in their favourite festive outfits for a photo with Santa in his magical enchanted garden. Although a booking isn’t essential, it is advised so click here.

Canberra Outlet Centre

When: Daily from 11 am to 2 pm, until 24 December
Where: Canberra Outlet Centre (in the Atrium near Café Cherry Beans)
How much: Donation only.

Booking to see Santa at the Canberra Outlet Centre allows you up to 10 minutes of photos with Santa, his helper and his reindeer. There’s no cost, but a donation for Marymead is requested. You can also book ‘Pet Santa’ photos with your furry friends until Friday, 16 December.

Westfield Belconnen & Westfield Woden Shopping Centre

When: Daily, at various times, until 24 December
Where: Belconnen – Westfield Belconnen Shopping Centre, Centre Court, Level 1; Woden – Westfield Woden Shopping Centre, David Jones Court, near JB Hi-Fi
How much: Photos from $24.95, packages available.

Westfield Belconnen and Westfield Woden are open daily until Christmas Eve with bookings available every four minutes for you to squeeze in a few quick pics with the family and get your shopping done.

South.Point Tuggeranong Shopping Centre

When: Daily, at various times until 24 December
Where: South.Point Tuggeranong Shopping Centre
How much: Photos from $24.95, packages available.

This Christmas, Santa Claus is also coming to the South.Point Tuggeranong Shopping Centre. Sessions are available daily from 9 am to just after 6 pm until Saturday, 24 December.

Dickson Shops

When: Saturday 17 December and Sunday 18 December, from 11 am to 2 pm
Where: Dickson Shops, Stage near Dickson Library
How much: Free.

The City Renewal Authority is offering free photos with Santa for you, your kids AND your pets.

With no bookings required, head down to the Dickson shops near the local library, find the photographer and queue up for your free Santa photo with your family or your ‘paw-trait’ with your furry friends.

Mrs Claus will also be making an appearance and there will be a festive backdrop too.

Those who get their photo taken will be able to scan a QR code that will generate a ticket number, once that is complete, the photographer will call you directly to the stage and email you the final three Santa pics.

Marketplace Gungahlin

When: Daily, at various times, until Saturday 24 December
Where: Gungahlin Marketplace (outside Big W)
Cost: Free, booking is essential.

Santa and his reindeer will also be making a stop to all the good kids this year in Gungahlin.

All day, everyday, you can come along and take your free photos with Santa on your phone, with the help of Santa’s helpers.
