Canberra is beautiful at the best of times but from 1 to 17 March through Hit 104.7’s Skyfire and other community events, we can all celebrate alongside family and friends within this wonderful city setting.
Long regarded as Canberra’s biggest free event, Skyfire has become part of the culture of our city, with an estimated crowd of over 100,000 seeking the best vantage points on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin to see the city at its best. So bring your blanket and radio, and tune into the live entertainment at Regatta Point with Ned & Josh from 6 pm on Saturday, 16 March.
The spectacular fireworks display, now in its 31st year, is brilliantly choreographed to a simultaneous soundtrack broadcast on Hit 104.7.
Skyfire is more than a magical fireworks display. It features an aerial display, live entertainment at Regatta Point, and a variety of food and drink, which all add to the festive atmosphere.
To bypass the queues on the night, you can pre-order food and enjoy express pickup service on the evening.
At Hit 104.7 Skyfire Central at Regatta Point, DJ Lenny Pearce from Justice Crew and pop sensation Samantha Jade will perform as the sun goes down and we count down towards Skyfire 2019.
Skyfire is one of six events on the Enlighten Festival calendar alongside Enlighten Illuminations, the Canberra Balloon Spectacular, Lights! Canberra! Action!, Symphony in the Park and the Canberra Day celebrations.
So come along and enjoy your city through Hit 104.7 Skyfire: 16 March, Regatta Point, Commonwealth Park, Lake Burley Griffin.
