iPhone 6 plus plan from whom?

Am still waiting for an iPhone from Telstra 6 weeks after ‘registering interest’.

They have a nice plan to go with it. Supposedly.

Why ask me to register interest when they have done nothing since, not even an email to tell me they have none yet…presumably SOMEONE is getting an iPhone occasionally from Telstra meantime…

My contract was up a year ago and I have pointed out to them that patience is a relative term.

Eight months ago I’d already decided it was time to upgrade, mostly because my iPhone 4 just isn’t up to the tasks that I want to use it for (turn-by-turn navigation, Ingress, holding more than a handful of songs and photos).

Looking back at stock availability, I knew that the options were to pre-order and hope that I was right about that particular model being the one I want, or wait until November for stock to settle down and queues to disappear.

The people that are getting their phones before you are obviously willing to make the great sacrifice and wait until the Apple Store is restocked so they can reserve their new handset. For the moment your choices are to make that great sacrifice yourself, or to wait until November for the stocks to settle down and queues to disappear.

Just sit on your hands for two weeks, accept the fact that you are not so concerned about following the fashion that you’ll stay up past midnight on a school night to secure your early purchase of a new handset.

You could also take advantage of the next two weeks to visit the Apple Store, check out all the models and have a good think about what you really need.

There seems to be plenty of stock of the smaller 16GB models. But from my experience with both Android and Apple, by the time I add apps, music and a few other things i have little space left for when I need it. Plus on a plan the 64GB model is about $4-5 a month more, which isn’t too bad.

But yes my favourite black and yellow themed store has had iphone 6 16GB models and actually got more stock in several times of asking. They also had the 6 plus in 16GB. Not sure if they’ve had all 3 colours, A friend told me just go to the apple store, same price but they get preference on new stock. I didn’t know Apple did phone plans but they do. Its just a pain to do the reservation thing and you have to stay up late or get up early to reserve your phone.

Mr Kogan apparently thinks he can provide you with one faster than Optus and Telstra.

I thought registering interest just got them to send you an email with the plans and pre order page when it went up?

I walked into the next biggest telco (mall shop) during the week unannounced. Left 10 minutes later with a grey iPhone 6. Your not casting your net widely enough.

telstra started going down hill after john howard privatised them years ago..go to a company that understands customer service

A tip. I was asking around looking for an iPhone6 64Gb phone. Alas the only model anyone seems to have are the 16GB models.
I walked into the Apple store and they informed me they had none to sell me right now however if I jump online and reserve it i can come in and collect it and get it on the same Telstra plan. The catch is they are always getting stock and the website updates with new stock at midnight, so you have to reserve it and set a time to collect it.
Sure enough after midnight new stock was added to the website. I’m not sure how quickly the new stock goes everyday but they only seem to be accepting reservations right now and when I reserved/bought my phone on Friday, they had all models listed except a iPhone 6 64GB in space grey.

Reservation link is https://reserve.cdn-apple.com/AU/en_AU/reserve/iPhone/availability

So you know that nowhere has any stock? And you have only registered interest, not actually put yourself on the waiting list for one? What are you actually expecting?
