Killjoys put an end to bike path signage excitement

By johnboy - 23 January 2014 8

sign removed

Following on from yesterday’s excitement regarding bike lane signage in Braddon Jarrod has noted and documented that the offending sign has now been removed.

A pity they left their gaffer tape behind.

They didn’t leave the tape behind, they put a sticker on it for a different department to collect. Tape collection is someone else’s job.

probably two different departments – one to detach the tape from the civic installation and another to then attend the scene and devoid it of refuse. the committees to orchestrate these manouevres have been meeting since sunday, when they were called in after hours…

Actually, the Affixing and Removal and Recycling of Signage Securing (ARRSS) was put out to tender and a team member from the Affixing and Removal and Recycling of Signage Securing Hi-vis Action Team (ARRSSHAT) will be along in the next three weeks to assess the workload and organise a removal team.

My hat off to you. Very clever.

given that has been that way for some time – well before Christmas – I am surprised it has taken this long!
