Hi RioACTers,
We are only a few days to close the inaugural story contest “Latin America in 100 words”. I would encourage you to send us your short stories. It doesn’t matter if you have never been in Latin America. You would just need to tell us in a sentence, two or more (up to 100 words in total), a story, a thought, a feeling or anything you would like to share about Latin America.
With this inaugural competition, we aim to promote the life, culture, traditions, ideas about Latin America, in Australia. What would your story be about? For example: What do you imagine about Latin America? Why would you like to visit? What have you heard about the region? Basically, what does Latin America mean to you? (For the salsa/latin dancers: What do you feel when dancing salsa?).
There are prizes for the best 3 stories and highly commended mentions: An Acer tablet, a Kindle, a $100 Co-op bookshop voucher and Latin American handicrafts.
Entries close on 28th April 2013 at midnight (this sunday).
Send your entries to: latinamericain100words@gmail.com and see terms and conditions, names and bios of the Jury and other details here: http://www.facebook.com/latinamericain100words and http://www.anclas.anu.edu.au/event/other/latin-america-100-words-short-story-competition
Gracias!
