Jim Sharrock is a music teacher and the front man for the legendary Canberra party band Dubba Rukki. He’s trying to raise funds to get a wheelchair hoist for his van to help his daughter Lily who has cerebral palsy.
To this end a great lineup of local music talent is playing at McGregor Hall this Saturday (Corner of Marcus Clarke and Barry Drive). Here’s the running sheet:
- 5.00 Milo the Clown
5.30 Johnny Huckle
6.15 Purrcussion (all female drum troupe)
Pedrolino the mime and friends
6.45 Samba Dance Troupe
7.15 wedded bliss (country/jazz/swing)
8.00 jay sullivan (comedian)
8.30 Jumptown Jammers (swing dancing performance troupe)
9.00 The Fuelers (high octane country rockabilly)
10.00 Dubba Rukki (reggae/funk/disco)
It’s a great lineup for a great cause.
But wait! There’s more! The Cashews are mounting one of their legendary guerrilla gigs at 4pm somewhere in the vicinity. Details on facebook.
