Melrose Dr closed northbound after water main burst

Melrose Drive

Northbound lanes on Melrose Drive between Eggleston Crescent and Hindmarsh Drive are currently closed due to a burst water main, the ACT Government advises.

Traffic management arrangements are in place in the area.

Motorists are encouraged to seek an alternative route where possible to avoid the area.

All this rain making the ground swell with saturation and causing this kind of side effect perhaps? I’ve seen them burst due to dry ground shrinking so I guess the same can happen going the other way.
