Most of you probably haven’t noticed but the 2007 “National” (ho ho) Multicultural Festival is on again for another year with a Monday launch that most folks avoided because they were staying in to watch Desperate Housewives after a busy weekend.
The Festival have a semi comprehensible website (what exactly is the “TRADIES FESTIVAL HQ”?).
Also the generally more exciting fringe festival is running in Civic Square having abandoned the intimacy of the Street Theatre.
So having tried to wade nostril deep through the pile of gumpf that follows from artistes bigging themselves up, can anyone recommend something on the event lists for the general public?
The one thing we are all looking forward to is BBQ Meats and Beers of the World Day (aka the Food & Dance Spectacular). That’s on this Saturday so we can all get seriously liquored up on Kozel before the Brumbies game.
