Neighbourhood roundup

By johnboy - 25 September 2006 26

Yesterday Smee sent in the aftermath of high winds that afflicted the region, in particular his part of the world the nature strip parallel with Lee Steere Crescent in Kambah not far from Village Creek Primary School.

Meanwhile Gordie is extremely unimpressed with the structure that his Curtin neighbours are building on their nature strip seemingly in lieu of going to the tip.

What’s Your opinion?

Looks like some kids kick-arse cubby.

Well done to them I say.

Built in the same way we build them 40 years ago, before OH&S standards. Before the total lack or personal accountability for one’s actions.

I am confident that they didn’t get PALM approval. Nor should they.

Let the kids play.

Thumper 9:42 am 26 Sep 06

Yeah K, but we’d do it sooo much better….

Kerces 9:38 am 26 Sep 06

Nah Thumper, we couldn’t have an eyesore of the week cos the Sunday CT already has that one covered on its pre-letters page. We’d hate to be copycats or anything.

No guys, it’s a ‘renovator’s dream’.

And it could all be yours for the tiny sum of $375,000.

Nah, wrong time of year to burn it now: too many fire bans in force!

Just wait until Autumn!

Danman 9:06 am 26 Sep 06

Mr Evil – lets soo how well it burns this weekend ? Our Russian friend Molotov would be proud of us.

Looks like govco accomodation – are we sure they won’t be moving it to Northbourne Ave?

Mr Evil 9:04 am 26 Sep 06

The beginnings of a 50ft high Jim Morrison statue/shrine?

I bet it’d burn well too.

Absent Diane 9:03 am 26 Sep 06

actually it kind of looks like it could be something out of wolf creek.. could it be some kind of murder den?

Thumper 8:54 am 26 Sep 06

Crocodile Dundee’s holiday shack?

Absent Diane 8:50 am 26 Sep 06

treehouse 5000??

Danman 8:42 am 26 Sep 06

Looks like a piece of the set from Survivour Curtin

Thumper 8:13 am 26 Sep 06

That’s what I was thinking. The sort of thing that starts with some wood and roadsigns and just evolves over time.

Lets register it on the Heritage Register.

I can write up the submission, well, I used to be able to do them.

simto 8:09 am 26 Sep 06

Kinda looks like a slightly unsafe cubby house to me.

Thumper 8:05 am 26 Sep 06

WTF is that monstrousity?

It almost looks like it has been purposely built. Does someone, or something, live in there?

What’s the address? I’ve got to drive by and see this.

Maybe RA should have a weekly ‘This place is an eyesore’ post and get people to post in their photos of dumps like this.
