We’ve hard word in that Old Parliament House is changing the guard on their salubrious restaurant arrangements:
Restaurant Associates – boutique caterer at some of Australia’s most renowned venues – is partnering with the iconic Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House to make the venue a culinary destination on the Canberra landscape.
The new partnership, to commence August 7, 2013 will see the hospitality and function offerings at Old Parliament House revitalised by the team at Restaurant Associates, which brings with it local and international experience.
Guiding this fresh approach to the venue’s catering service will be Sebastien Lutaud, Restaurant Associates General Manager Culinary Services. Sebastien has worked with some of Australia’s and the world’s best known culinary leaders, including Liam Tomlin at Brasserie Cassis, Tony Billson and Pascal Bardot at Ampersand, Tetsuya Wakuda at Tetsuya’s and Sean Connolly at Astral. In 2004 Sebastien assisted Brett Graham to open The Ledbury Hotel which achieved its first Michelin star within nine months of its opening. In 2005, he relocated to France and completed a two year stint as Sous Chef at Abbey De La Busserie which achieved one Michelin star and became Relais Chateau within one year.
Before joining Restaurant Associates in October 2011, Sebastien worked with the Merivale Group at Felix Restaurant as Co-Head Chef with Lauren Murdoch. Sebastien will guide all menu development at Old Parliament House and work closely with the on-site executive chefs.
