2 weeks in a row. Last week we picked a number 10 and this week we have picked our halfbacks on form. Maybe fagan, larkham senior and the rest of the board have clocked off early for end of season holidays.

Nowhere is the divide between Nz & Aus talent more apparent than in the halfback stocks. Brendon Leonard or Alby Mathewson would be walk up starts for the Wallabies, yet most casual rugby fans on this side of the Tasman have never heard of them.

Doubt it.

Will Genia is (arguably) the form halfback in world rugby right now. Although, it is daylight between him and any other halfback in Aus I admit.

You are correct Knuckles. I obviously didn’t have my brain engaged this morning. I saw it on an old thread on a forum I read. Should check posting dates 😉 Toomua has actually injured himself. Hamstring apparently.

Toomua was involved in the u20 World Cup which has only just concluded. (We were walloped in the final against NZ).

I’d say he, Colby and Hooper are either not back yet or being rested this week, nursing some bruises!

Great to see Valentine not in the squad.

Australia don’t play their 1st game of the U20 world cup until 10th June 2011. Toomua isn’t even in the squad. Not sure which game’s you have been watching.

addendum, it is VERY dissapointing not to see Toomua in the 22, I thought he was the best performed of last weeks game… so I see no reason apart from injury that he not be in the squad…. shambolic selections will rue the Brumbies season yet again!

To be honest, in my view, Phibbs has not been the cumbersome force that Valentine has been this season, partially as he has been relegated to the bench for the vast majority of the season and coming into the game when it is essentially over, and on the rare occasion he did start he looked alot more nippy and gave us alot more “oomph” in attack. Nic White, from the limited game time I have seen from him in the Shute Shield, looks exceptionally good with a quick pass and solid running game so hopefully he keeps this form up with some time off the bench.

See ya Valentine!! Cannot underestimate my glee that he is goneskies!!
