One person has been taken to hospital after a collision involving two cars and a truck on the Barton Highway.

According to the Emergency Services Agency (ESA), the incident took place at 2:41 pm near the Victoria Street intersection in Hall, in the north of the ACT.

Following the incident, the Barton Highway has been closed in both directions in this area.

ACT Ambulance Service, ACT Fire and Rescue and ACT Policing are in attendance.

The ESA has asked that the community avoids the area as traffic flow is affected, and said drivers should use alternative routes.
