Canberra basketball star, Patrick Mills, fractured a bone in his right foot during his second practice with the NBA’s Portland Trailblazers.

It looks like he’ll miss the summer league, an important introduction for rookies before the NBA season.

Depending what Portland does trading wise this summer, Mills had a good chance seeing some minutes this season.

The injury clouds his future a little but I hope he thinks of the long run and takes his time to recover, instead of returning too soon and re-aggravating the injury.

Not quite, Truth. At the moment, Portland only have two other point guards after recently trading their back-up guard. Last year, the third point guard saw quite a few minutes for Portland. Hopefully, Mills will completely recover and show some of his magic.

Not good news for Patty. He was going to have a tough enough time earning a contract without this. For those not in the know Portland is stacked full of players in his position and there are rumours that they will trade for another guard. So at best he was looking at being the 2nd backup. But this puts a huge dent in his immediate plans.

Here’s hoping to a full and fast recovery!!!

Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery
