There was action galore at the Australian Defence Force Academy annual Open Day on Saturday as the nation’s tri-service military training institution put on a fabulous show for prospective students and the Canberra community.

The event provides prospective ADFA recruits with information about life and study at the Academy, as well access to its facilities.

It offers both prospective students and the community a chance to see a range of exciting displays by the Navy, Army and Air Force.

Among the highlights at Saturday’s Open Day were an RAAF c-130J-30 Hercules Flypast, the Australian Army Parachute Display Team demonstrating their skills, an RAAF Hawk 127 Flypast, a simulated ground-based infantry attack, an RAAF Roulettes Aerial Display, a demonstration of completing an obstacle course over water, rugby matches, a performance by ADFA Pipes and Drums and much more.

Local photographer Jack Mohr was on site to capture all the action.
