Between rollerderby (long ago sold out if you haven’t already got a ticket) and this show there are distressing reasons for an Inner Northican to cross the water this coming weekend.

For reasons passing understanding Rafe Morris and Adam Hadley are doing cabaret in Tuggeranong this weekend.

From the media release:

Songs about Civic’s Soup Kitchen Lady, a lament for broken sunglasses and disregarding restraining orders are on the musical menu when Rafe and The Well-Dressed perform at the Tuggeranong Arts Centre…

“Many of these songs were written while I was travelling through Asia and Europe for two years, so I’m very excited to bring them back home and revamp them for an audience that will actually get the jokes,” said Mr Morris.

“I’m also fortunate to have the opportunity to work with some of Canberra’s finest young performers, and I think the Tuggeranong Arts Centre – which has a strong reputation for supporting emerging artists – is the perfect venue for this collaboration,“ he said.

Also, according to the release Adam Hadley is now an “accomplished theatre identity”.
