Another disappointing result for the Raiders last night in Canberra going down 28-4 against the Broncos in front of a small crowd of only 8,094.

The Raiders showed a lot of enthusiasm early and were locked in an arm wrestle with the Broncos, with the game being played between the side’s 20 metre lines.

However this enthusiasm was short lived, and the game turned after Dale Copley crossed for the Broncos in the 23rd minute. The Broncos then crossed in the 29th and 47th minute to push out to a 18-0 lead. The Raiders scored some what of a consolation try in the 69th minute with Shaun Fensom crossing.

Shaun Fensom could hold his head high with another work-man like performance, with 48 tackles, running 109 metres and scoring the Raiders only try.

The Raiders now have a week off with the bye before returning to Canberra for a Friday Night match against the Bulldogs on 20 June.
