Record Raiders crowd for Friday night

The ABC informs us that there are just a few standing room seats left after non-member tickets went on sale this morning for the Raiders final against the Tigers on Friday night.

The anticipated crowd of just over 26,500, exceeds Big Mal Meninga’s farewell 25,253 in 1994.

Due to a lack of additional seat building however it’s a slightly smaller crowd than the 28,753 who crammed in to watch the Brumbies play the Crusaders in 2004.

kudos to the tigers, they were the better side.

the raiders ball handling was terrible, that was the difference.

Thumper – another good close Raiders/Tigers game. I suspect the Raiders will go close to winning the GF next year with thata young and talented team. The addition of Blake Ferguson will be a bonus

The Tigers deserved the win last night and Benji was brilliant. That being said it does concern me that he left them with 12 players for 9 minutes last week with a ‘serious’ knee injury that looked 100% last night. It says something about his ticker, that and his disappearance if defence. He is nearly without peer with ball in hand though.

If the Raiders had ball retention in the first half and kicked THAT goal it would have been a different result but I guess we’ll never know. No TC next week, and probably Shillington and Logan suspended, would have been too much for us next week. Well done to the Tigers but be careful not to start sounding like the insipid twat who screamed all game next to me last night and nealry started crying when Croker lined the kick up.

Sorry vg my apologies I didn’t realise what a good athlete you obviously are. Does vg stand for very good? With most teams it is just called being a loyal supporter through good and bad times.You also must have a very high pain threshold if you are bagging an NRL first grader for leaving the field. Shaun Fensom and Campo could take some tips. Deep down I suspect you are a keyboard warrior with none of these traits.

Personally, I’m looking forward to watching Benji throw a few of his trademark “straight over the sideline” passes and missing 80% of his shots at goal.

3 Try assists and 100% kicking record. That’s the problem with band wagon supporters. It blows up in your face.

And I’d think the Tigers have got more to worry about GWS than the Raiders do.(although admittedly I think that’s very little for both).

The band wagon is not only groaning with a load it hasn’t carried since the 90’s but is supremely confident.

Either way it will be another very entertaining game as Raiders/Tigers always are.

You could have at least come up with a memorable Tiger, like Kevin Hardwick. That super sub move that Warren Ryan pulled in the 1989 GF. You know, the one of 3 GFs the Raiders won in 5 years
