One of the city’s most beloved and enduring bands is making its return to the stage at Smith’s Alternative this Saturday. Magic Rob Universe has been at the forefront of DIY, cosmic-leaning glam folk-rock for more than a decade and their influence on the local music scene has become immeasurable with time. Catch them alongside Wesley and The Crushers from 7:00 pm.
Later that night, catch a host of local emcees performing with DMC champion Chemi-Cal for Mic Check, a night to celebrate local rap and hip-hop at Smith’s.
Singer-songwriter Kim Yang is marking a career milestone this weekend as she launches the stunning vinyl release of her 2021 EP Brave. She’ll be joined by LIV LI at Smith’s on Sunday afternoon.
