The Basement continue their run of high energy, socially distanced shows this week with doom rock trio Witchskull and renowned 90s cover band Royale With Cheese both set to play to sold out audiences. Ginger Nuts, Commodore Charlie, Lock and Moonstriders are also gearing up for the Canberra Unchained event scheduled for Thursday evening.

In the digital realm, Live In Ya Lounge is offering up four local acts across two nights this week. Tune in to catch Spinning Plates and Danny Pratt on Friday before Black Cypress and The Faumuis take over the stream on Saturday.

Over at Canberra Theatre Centre, local indie pop trio Peach Lane will be taking on songs from their forthcoming debut EP as part of the CTC at Home series.

Roots rock singer Jack Biilmann will also be appearing in live stream form this week, with the Canberra artist set to appear as part of Infidel Studio’s Maneki Sessions this Thursday night.

It’s heartening that this here gig guide is filling up with events week by week. It may still be a far cry from the jam-packed guide of pre-COVID times, but the growth in numbers and breadth of options is exciting to see. Read on to find out about the in-person and at-home gigs taking place across the next week.
