The Basement’s music calendar is bursting at the seams this week with the underground Belconnen venue set to host gigs nearly every night of the week.

Yoko Oh No, Box Dye, Fight Milk and HYMMNN kick it all off with a sold-out night of punk on Wednesday with some of Canberra’s most experienced and brand new acts joining forces. The party continues on Thursday with another four local acts in Spinning Plates, The Differs, Trace and Parklands all taking to the stage.

Come Friday, it’s all about celebrating one of Canberra’s rising stars when Hope Wilkins launches her debut EP Coffee Cups. Supporting her will be another pair of talented songwriters in Sophie Edwards and Tiarne.

Elsewhere, Bruny Island’s own Maddy Jane will be performing two intimate sets at The Well to launch her debut album Not All Bad Or Good. A Taste of Sunday In The Park returns to Haig Park this weekend as well, with sets from Endrey and Neko Pink.
