Maybe. I don’t know.

I’ve had people judging my morals since I was sixteen. That is very hard for me. I think I told you about that.

On the one hand I feel like I should be able to choose my own friends and hang out with whomever I please.

On the other hand, I’ve grown accustomed to being treated with quite a bit of respect in the circles I’ve moved in over the last couple of decades. People might think I’m a bit unconventional and unpredictable, a bit of a loose cannon, but they never perceive me as promiscuous or even flirty for that matter.

Maybe I do flirt. I’ve never really thought about it. I certainly thrive on attention. In my mind I very much relate to my female friends the same way as males. Although I think you are more scary than my usual male friends somehow.

The question is do I have the courage to ignore what people think about me? I can certainly do it with my Hyundai Accent as you know ….

*chuckle*

Who knows what I will do? Even I don’t know yet. Either way you will have an excellent night and not be short of good company, I think.

: )

Hahaha “Hamstergate”

I just wanted to hear you laugh for an entire evening again. Everyone makes their choices, I’ll probably still get icecream however.

Bad sleaz posting from work bad…*takes himself back to spreadsheets*

*guffaw*

Lying down is but one of many ways to take that, Granny.

Oops! I think that was more of an entendre and a half, rather than double.

I was planning to be flying in (literally) to attend this but will now be hoping for some good Irish music at O’Sullivan’s in Essendon so my friend and I (who catch up every six months or so) can make tools of ourselves on the dance floor.

(Mind you, last time I was in O’Sullivan’s was 1999, so I’d best not be too presumptuous (sp?) it’s still there.

Enjoy. * Checks watch to make sure it is actually Thursday. *

Jazz, I will get to one of those business breakfasts some day. Will give you a yodel about other affairs of state probably next week.

i still yet to see how the ability to play simcity makes someone a good policitian.

Grunge hippy. Point. Missed. Go join some dots. (Old threads on Sim City project cover my thoughts on topic.)

Enjoy the lemonade, sleaz274. I am so sorry about hamstergate. I am now dying of embarrassment and can never show my face again, unfortunately, ’cause I had the best time.

: )

Cheers.

Landlord doesn’t allow pets sorry…

Seeing someone from “public life” interacting with people in an informal and relaxed environment while demonstrating their ability to operate and try to achieve some goals is better than 30,000 ads discussing what a great person they are and how much of other people’s money they will spend.

I had a great little yarn to Shane Rattenbury (did I even spell it right? hahaha) when he came along to support a fellow Green and Mark last week was a hoot, plus he was a really nice guy, swapped jokes, listened to advice and stuck to his guns when he wanted. Overall I have a very good opinion of him now.

Plus you get to meet some interesting people that you would never have gotten to otherwise so who knows it might actually just be light hearted fun.

i think there is alot more to being a “good city administrator” unfortunately than being geeky. Someone who kicks arse at simcity is not exactly someone i want in charge of canberra. an interesting concept, but not in my opinion based in reality.

but then again, i havent come to see, so perhaps i am being hasty. unfortunately i am stuck in country victoria with the in laws, so i will console myself in another tequila…

pity you havent got the big guns to come and have a play. i would in fact probably vote for someone who did have a crack, as they obviously have a sense of fun about the whole thing.

johnboy 8:17 pm 08 Oct 08

Who wants a good politician?

I want a good city administrator and I want to know what they’re willing to sacrifice to achieve their priorities.

Come along and have a watch.

i still yet to see how the ability to play simcity makes someone a good policitian.

Oh, here we go again …. Five glasses of wine over eight hours, peterh. Plus a Kill Bill and a golden gaytime ice-cream. Who knew I was going to go to Hell for an ice-cream? I thought that only happened with apples. If I’d have known I was going to Hell anyway, I’d have said, “Take me home, sleaz274, and make it hell-worthy! Break out the hamsters … or … or … something.”

I have little idea what this is about but man, sounds like it was not the night to miss.

For anyone who was at the last one, I have a theory about Mark’s Vanishing CBD…

It involves his fire problems, his in-the-black budget, the bulldoze tool, and the fact that every time a non-planned disaster occurs SimCity re-centres your view onto the incident.
There is a way to disable the AutoGoto function, but I have no idea how.
Mark was lucky he was in excess income territory and had unmet development demand, or it would have been a crisis.

(I will not be at this one, I have work to do)

Drinking lemonade may be really sinful. Maybe you should check with peterh first.

I wasn’t the one who had to have their keys taken off them….

Overheard 8:26 am 08 Oct 08

I’ve only drunk scotch and lemonade (but I ask the bar-keep to hold the lemonade).

Sleaz274 10:15 pm 07 Oct 08

I may raid the coin jar and drink a large lemonade… or two

Overheard 5:37 pm 07 Oct 08

Will maybe make it there late depending on flight times. Look forward to seeing whoever’s there.
