This Monday at All Bar Nun in O’Connor the RiotACT Sim Challenge Canberra is playing host to the ALP’s Wayne Sievers, candidate for Brindabella.

Come on down, watch Wayne show off his vision of city management, say hello to your favourite Rioters, buy me a pint if you’re so inclined.

Seems VG doesn’t like Wayne. Wonder why VG has this irrational phobia?

Now I have to resist the temptation to post again straight away and become a three post nutbag…

“I’m sorry, but the people who knew Wayne in the AFP would know that there have been some liberties taken with the truth on his site. He was just a Constable on the road

But prospective pollies don’t lie… do they? Oh please, say it ain’t so…

“He also solved the shotgun murder of a prominent Canberra doctor”

That’s interesting, being as

a) He never worked as a detective in the ACT, and
b) The murder occurred in NSW, outside the jurisdiction of the AFP

“He devised a contact officer program which facilitated better service delivery by the police to our community.”

No he didn’t.

I’m sorry, but the people who knew Wayne in the AFP would know that there have been some liberties taken with the truth on his site. He was just a Constable on the road

Interesting CV, to say the least.

Hope you all have a good time and lots of pints. I’m not long out of hospital and my housemate has become the health nazi, so I have to stay home. 🙁

His website’s pretty awfully designed. Images skewed and stretched, spelling and grammar mistakes abound. Maybe Tess’ website designer could do some work for Wayne?

I thought that was tess herself??

He was Democrats in a previous election of some description and now he’s Labor. Will he be Liberal at the next ‘go around’?

Having read his bio on more than one occasion I can say never let the truth get in the way of a good story

peterh peterh 11:05 am 20 Aug 08

peterh peterh 11:01 am 20 Aug 08

“wow, did not guess it was lake tuggeranong till i saw the small text in the bottom left. good job they put that there, otherwise canberra residents wouldn’t have known he was running in canberra….

who the hell needs to spell out where the lake is??

what a winner!!”

What a retarded comment. I think a new record has been set for most pathetic banal snipe in the history of RiotACT.

hey, not really. looking at lake tuggeranong and using it as your backdrop, all good.

would have been better if the image was theirs in the first place. looks like someone went nuts with photoshop.

so, if i covered up the lake tuggeranong caption, would you know where that lake was?

people in tuggeranong would.

this guy left his “calling card” (if not him, his lackey’s) in my parents flyscreen while they were away for 2 weeks. if that isnt an advertisement for some dumbarse to come and ransack a home when left there for several days, i dont know what is. Its only lucky that i was coming every couple of days to check on the place.

could be just me, but i found that really poor form. if they’re not home, leave it in the mailbox, not plastered on the front door for all to see that no one is home.

To be fair it’s the graphic designer responsible for this sort of thing.

They might have paid the rights holder, or they might have just pinched it from the web, but the candidate who’s paid for it in good faith doesn’t deserve a visit from a mob of torch wielding wikipedians.

Interestingly, its not a Creative Commons picture.

So does he cite Cliffzart as the originator per the conditions of the GNU Free Documentation License?

I got JB a pint last week – and I had no feelings that it would be more than that – so it was ao comfortable gesture 🙂

I mirror Thumpers sentiments as well – they are a good night for a chin wag and a few pints.

Also a good time to weed out the bowls of jelly who post on RA and usually do not appear in person.
