Rather than me ringing around trying to find the best deal for sourcing some stubby holders and coffee mugs for RiotGear, I thought I’d tap into the collective mob mind that is RiotACT to do the work for me.

Anyone got a recommendation on where in Canberra its best to get an order of say 100 stubby holders and 100 coffee mugs made up at a reasonable price?

Needs to have the above image placed on them.

And if any manufacturers reading this want to make a deal about some advertising that would be great too.

Either leave a comment or email to RiotChe at gmail dot com.

There are a tonne of these types of businesses in Canberra. When I used to run a local sports centre I spent a good month going through all of them to try and get the best value for money on our uniforms and prizes etc.

I would like to buy some RiotGEAR, but you’d better ensure it’s not sold near a more conveniently placed Rivers outlet that will quickly change purchasing loyalites.

Wow, 9 or so local mobs. Not that I’ve ever needed to buy this sort of gear, but it’s good to see grassroots local businesses out there to draw upon!

Let manage it for you and you get to take a cut of the proceeds.

I cautioned Che about clever dicks saying just this.

But hey, everyone else is getting good advice so why can’t we?

So we’re witnessing the meme going Meta, and RiotACT mods are themselves posting “Where is the best local…?” threads now?

National Promotions ( – can’t comment on relative value on all products but we use them whenever we need stuff for work and are very happy with the results.

The ‘Manhattan’ style of mug has been very popular around here. Nice big buggers than you can fit a decent cup of coffee into.

I’ve had good results from Green Frog Promotions in Fyshwick. The Thermal Travel Mugs are good, I have one at my desk right now.

I’d second Paddywhack – good value, good product and happy to haggle…

Phenomenon (the Canberra Role-Playing Convention held in June each year) has used Paddywhack Promotions in Fyshwick for the last few years for our promo gear (including mugs and tshirts). All our gear has been pretty good quality and reasonably priced.
