Rufino and the Coconuts at the Polish Club

Barcham 13 August 2013

Rufino from Mikelangelo and the Black Sea Gentlemen is bringing some Caribbean beats to the Polish Club with his new band Rufino and the Coconuts.

You can just tell that this is going to be a bit special.

Get ready for the sensual primitive jungle grooves of Rufino and the Coconuts. One night only – plus local support from The Wanninashvilles and Cabaret, Vaudeville and Burlesque acts to keep you tropically tantalised!

Rufino the Catalan Casanova, violinist and crooner from acclaimed Kabaret ensemble Mikelangelo and the Black Sea Gentlemen, has set sail on an incredible solo voyage. Troubled winds, a mutinous crew and a wrecked boat have thrown him on a new and treacherous course into the dark heart of the Caribbean! There – by chance or destiny? – he has found a new band of castaways, troubled geniuses and misfits in the fertile rhythm-rich jungles of Haiti – forming Rufino and The Coconuts!
