ACT Policing has reported a shooting in Goyder Street, Narrabundah.
The incident is believed to have occurred this afternoon at around 2:40 pm.
According to Inspector Matt Reynolds, at least two people were in the house at the time of the shooting and a total of five shots were fired. No one was hurt in the incident.
The shooting is not believed to be gang-related.
He said it appears to be related to a “business transaction” and it was important to recognise this was a targeted attack rather than a random incident.
“Any firearm incident like this is no doubt a concern to the community; however, police believe there is no ongoing threat to the public,” Detective Inspector Reynolds said.
At this stage, indications are that the shots were fired from a rifle.
