Hi I am currently looking for a course in silversmithing and enameling, the only people who seem to be running these courses appears to be the ANU (I don’t want to do a degree) and people have told me to contact Warehouse Bilk. I have tried Bilk’s website which is not very helpful, I have emailed them and I have rung them and left messages on the answering machine – NO RESPONSE. I have tried numerous times to visit there workshop/gallery but it is never open during the times they state on their website. Does anyone know of any other people who run courses in Canberra that are actually contactable?
It is really frustrating as these people seem to be in charge of the ANU courses as well and seem uncontactable at the ANU either. I have tried the internet with no luck. I am open to any course that has some form of metal working for jewellery/art etc. the only course seem to be for threading beads on chain or buying jewellery frames then setting them – which I am totally uninterested doing. Even if I could get into a metal work course that includes enameling metal, at least that would be a stop gap until I can find a real smithing course
