The man charged over the alleged stabbing death of Andrew Drake at a Surfside home has pleaded not guilty to murder.
Daniel James Sharpe of Tarago appeared in Queanbeyan Supreme Court on Monday (1 February) for the first day of a trial that is scheduled to last for 25 days before Justice Geoffrey Bellew.
The 20-year-old has entered a plea of not guilty to the alleged murder of 29-year-old Mr Drake.
According to NSW Police, emergency services received reports of an alleged stabbing at a home in Surfside, near Batemans Bay, late in the night of 13 April 2019.
Police found Mr Drake with multiple stab wounds to his torso and he died at the scene.
At the time, police said an 18-year-old man was arrested and taken to Batemans Bay Police Station where he assisted police with their investigation.
