More than 140 single residential blocks in the Gungahlin suburb of Taylor will go on the market by public ballot next month.

The Suburban Land Agency said ballot registrations for 142 blocks would open at 10 am Monday, 4 September and close at 4 pm Friday, 15 September 2017.

It would be offering blocks between 250 and 584 square metres in size, priced from $225,000 to $425,000. Thirty-two blocks priced at under $300,000 were available as land rent deals for eligible buyers.

The Agency said Taylor, only 4km from the Town Centre, featured an abundance of green spaces, a neighbourhood park, future local shops and a central P-6 school scheduled to open in 2019.

The Agency will hold a Taylor Information Expo on Saturday, 2 September at Gungahlin Lakes to inform the community about the land for sale, the planning and design of Taylor, the purchasing process and what could be built in the estate.

It said that when completed, Taylor was expected to contain about 2,500 dwellings and have a population of 6,500 people.

The suburb was planned to include district playing fields, playgrounds, parkland, and with shared paths connecting to the adjacent suburbs of Casey and Jacka.
